Kerala, rewilding

£2,000.00

54x89cm, ink on paper, framed.

'Kerala, Rewilding' is a constructed landscape, a drawn collage of buildings and scenes around Fort Kochi in India's Kerala state. It examines the concept of 'rewilding' and post-colonialism in an urban setting but the absence of humans is intended to unsettle the viewer and pose questions about what catastrophe led to this vibrant city being abandoned, or stripped of its creators.
