A view down a favourite dry-weather walk just north of Rye. I suspect it was a branch off of an old Roman Road leading from Sedlescombe to the ancient coastline, which was nowhere near where it is today. There’s a line of trees along this track and their beautiful roots and trunks forced me to draw them. Couldn’t help myself.
