Gun Rigg, pronounced ‘Goon rigg’ is very close to the much more famous Merry Maiden stone circle. Gun Rigg today is half-concealed in a tall cornish hedge with cows for company. I always feel it’s a bit like a peeping tom, still leering at the Merry Maidens after all these millennia.
